Merter Housing
Long perimeter blocks are transformed by creating tall apartments at the corners of the site, allowing for a flexible and diverse set of heights to the overall form of the housing. In turn this also provides residents with varying views of both the city and the Marmara Sea. Keeping the blocks along the perimeter also allows for residents to enjoy a large green courtyard, secluded from the pressures of the city. Underneath the courtyard exists shops and retail, servicing both the street edges of the site, as well as a terraced public square at the entrance to the site.
