İstanbul Kayabaşı Housing Project

The Project is designed in an inductive fashion from a micro scale to the macro scale with the Folding principle. the Folding principle outlines the constructive frame of the building, carries the recreational spaces from the ground level to different heights on itself, plays an important role on the parallel positioning with the slope and removes the problems of vista/natural daylight with its own potentials. Modular setup is based on the assemblage of 7,4,13 blocks. Facade systems do not work with these systems vertically, yet they unify the blocks by acting on the horizontal level. Landscape design pixelates the area -and by painting the optimal spots- scatters its active green functions around. Ecological strategies can be summed up as green terrace uses, using the daylight energy and the purified rainwater.
